Soft presence, strong boundaries.

Any advice for someone at the point of cutting their parents off because they ignore your boundaries and attempts at having a healthier relationship?

I’ve learned that consistency is the bare minimum, not a luxury. If something costs my peace, I pause and reassess. Growth isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s quiet boundaries. Choosing myself more intentionally these days. (edited)

You don’t lose people who are meant for you by having standards. You lose people who were benefiting from your silence, patience, and self-abandonment. The right person won’t feel threatened by your boundaries they’ll respect them. (edited)
