Is it possible?

Is it really possible to have the kind of relationship that we want as asexuals? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. As an asexual person, sometimes I wonder if it's actually possible to find someone who wants the same kind of relationship that I do. Not just someone who is willing to "put… read more

Who craves closeness ? Who needs touch as a love language ? To feel the beating of your heart close to mine and being mesmerised by the feeling on entanglement. Does this kind of feeling have a place in modern world ?

Why do you think some people pull away just when things get real? Is it past experiences or fear of closeness?

Relationship Boundaries Every Married Man Should Have

1. Don't become overly intimate with other women. Being friendly is fine, but flirty interactions, teasing, or unnecessary inside jokes can create emotional bonds that cross the line. 2. Don't become someone else's emotional support system. Listening to another woman's personal problems may seem… read more

Do men realise if they're emotionally unavailable?

Or alternatively: What does emotional closeness look like to men in a relationship?

💯❤️

Let me guess. He texted you every day. Called you late at night. Made you feel like you mattered. He treated you like a girlfriend… until it was time to actually be one. Then suddenly he was “not ready.” “Confused.” “Needed time.” And now you’re sitting there replaying everything, wondering… read more

One cannot be the person they sacrifices when everyone else is watching and still be their safe place when the doors closed

Quote from a story That is a profound and painful realization, but the MC are entirely right: you cannot be someone's public sacrifice and their private sanctuary. When someone repeatedly compromises your dignity, feelings, or loyalty to appease a crowd—only to expect comfort, intimacy, and… read more

Emotional cheating is still cheating.

Emotional cheating is still cheating. No, there does not have to be sex. If your intimacy, attention, secrecy, and emotional energy are being handed to someone outside the relationship, the damage is already happening. People get distracted by the wrong question: "Did anything physical… read more

Was it not the right person — or just too real to stay?

I need a male perspective on this. Have you ever left someone not because it was bad… but because it started becoming emotionally real? In my situation, nothing was “terrible.” But there was a mismatch: I needed emotional clarity and closeness. He needed space and low pressure. And instead of… read more

Absolutely true

"Physical intimacy often looks much safer and more appealing than an entire romantic relationship to an adult who grew up parentified. When a child is forced to act as the emotional or practical caretaker for their parents, they learn that emotional closeness is exhausting, transactional, and… read more

Hey Santa For this year's gift I want a man who 1.Is naturally stable and reliable 2.knows how to self-regulate 3.doesn't panic if someone needs space 4.doesn't love-bomb 5.doesn't stonewall 6.wants closeness but respects boundaries Thanks

💘 DID YOU KNOW?

People often think the best date is the one where everything goes perfectly. But attraction can sometimes grow through something much simpler: feeling genuinely understood. Research on interpersonal closeness has found that gradually sharing more personal information — combined with reciprocal… read more

A Star Brighter Than the Sun

Such a sweet slice of life. Makes me wish I could experience a crush and a first love. The butterflies, the longing, the eventual reward, even the closeness of friendship and girl talk. Know me through curiosity

Calling a woman “baby” when you just met her is probably not the compliment you think it is. And before anyone gets defensive, let me explain why. Pet names are usually meant to signal closeness, affection, or intimacy. The problem is… You skipped the closeness part. When you call someone… read more

Ignorance is a bliss they say

I dont think ignorance is a bliss in certain matters. Ignorance on recognising small details brings greater closeness. A Kiss

A kiss isn’t just romantic… it’s biochemical. When you kiss someone you’re emotionally connected to, your brain releases dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin—chemicals linked to pleasure, bonding, and emotional stability. This creates a powerful sense of closeness, reward, and well-being. At the… read more

I want to put more thought into a perfume because...

When I'm next to a stranger who smells nice, I think "ooo they smell nice," as I'm sure most people think, but it's deeper than that. Firstly, the knowledge of who they are permeates past their physical body, and reaches others against their will. Unlike visual cues, you need to make more of a… read more

We are more alike than we realize

So this is interesting. Say someone won't date you because you reveal you have autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, etc. What I find funny is that you will eventually see things in them you may not like as well even if they don't have one of the above things. "Spending time with people naturally… read more

When I think of some of the most beautiful and romantic paintings in the world, The Kiss by Gustav Klimt naturally comes to mind. A man and a woman are wrapped in a tender embrace. She tilts her face gently toward his kiss, while their bodies seem to merge beneath a magnificent sea of shimmering… read more

Are Boo personality type matches correct for you ?

Do you think Boo matches personality types correctly? Physical Touch

Physical touch is so important in a relationship because it speaks the language that words often fail to express. A gentle hug can calm anxiety. Holding hands can restore safety. A simple touch can remind someone that they are not alone. Touch builds emotional security. It releases hormones that… read more

When someone says that long distance relationships rarely work, it's because in the end we'll be with the person we're with in real life, but for me...

Not everyone falls for someone they meet in the real world; some find solace in a person who exists only behind a screen. It is not about physical touch, but rather how every message sent can warm a weary heart. They listen without judgment, understand without needing to ask too many questions, and… read more

I'm Khadijah who grew up in Manila, Philippines

In the end, the lives I live between pages are as real as any I have ever known. They are filled with sun, rain, spice, and salt; with laughter and sorrow, wisdom and folly. The Stages of Relationships

The first stage feels simple, even effortless. Full of excitement, passion and closeness, but it never lasts forever. The 2nd stage is where reality hits off, differences appear, temper rises. Some days, I disappear a little—not because I don’t care, but because I feel too much. I overthink. I pull away. I convince myself I’m not enough for the people who mean the most to me. texting everyday really does create a false sense of closeness

Different Shores

Distance changes the usual rules of closeness. It is a harsh trial, yet a remarkable lens: 1. When you can’t hold each other, you learn to talk. Sincerity and active listening become the only bridge. 2. Love lives in the little things. It thrives not on grand declarations, but on a simple, "I’m… read more

Give me your opinion of people with Avoidant personalities, particularly when closeness and accountability are required of them.

Protecting yourself from any emotional pain is greater then any pleasure you can achieve

“I believe in love and connection, but I don’t believe in owning someone emotionally. I want closeness and attraction, but I also believe both people should remain free. If someday you want to leave, I would respect that rather than hold you.”

Red flags in flirting

Sometimes red flags do not sound toxic at first. They sound romantic, intense, “special” and emotionally deep. But many manipulative people create fake emotional closeness very fast before truly knowing you. They fall in love with fantasy version of you, not real person 😊

Present but Gone: The Reality of Emotional Disconnection

Emotional disconnect is real, and it doesn’t come from nowhere. It doesn’t show up because someone is cold, heartless, or incapable of love. It forms after too much pain with no repair.
