Meze 105 AER Dynamic Open-Back Headphones

Here some more information from the newsletter: HS: It’s great to have you back in Munich this year. What can people expect from you this time around? MA: We are happy to be back in Munich. We are excited to showcase our newest additions to the Meze Audio headphones: Liric 2nd Generation (launched in March) and Empyrean II (launched last November) and to get first-hand feedback and impressions from our wonderful community. We're also giving a first view of two upcoming products: 105 AER - a future addition to our open-back line-up, and ALBA - our soon-to-be-launched IEM. HS: Let’s delve into these new products. You’re showing the 105 Aer for the first time. What can you tell us about it? MA: 105 AER is our invitation to connect with the outside world. It is designed for those who would rather work from a garden than a cubicle, and who dream about open spaces with open minds. The design language for 105 AER carries a feeling of Art Deco opulence, almost like a jewelry masked in a mechanical structure. HS: How is it different from the 109 Pro and the 99 Classics? MA: The 105 AER is different from the 99 Classics and the 109 PRO in all aspects, except for the headband system. As for the tuning, being an open back, it has a more refined, airy, neutral sound signature. In terms of materials, the 105 AER is constructed with ABS PC earcups, spring steel headband, PU leather headrest and zinc hardware. HS: Aer is a unique name. Where does it come from? MA: AER is a Romanian word, signifying AIR. Silent. Unseen. Essential. Air finds expression through invisible vibrations that become audible poetry. 105 AER is our invitation to let the air in and experience the multi-dimensional depth of music.
