Whatcha mean by being attacked? Discuss on ideas, not idea owner. If it does not follow Toulmin/Rogerian argumentation, I won't be in.

I mean sometimes I'm interested in topics that I think have interesting math components. When I ask questions about other's math I often get intriguing responses. Sometimes people take my questions or points as consent to make personal attacks. I like your strict guidelines for discussion. I usually dip out of a conversation when it deviates to personal attacks or strawman. Just wondering how others do it. *Edited for grammar*

@Login I love novel knowledge and narrowing down the topics too. Just that the discussion shouldn't be about who's right or which one the best, but the bridge connecting edges. The aim is that you make me think. We are creating sophisticated knowledge. I love and adore that approach.
