If Jason died and came back to life, it's feasible that he was halfway through decomposition when he revived 🤷♂️ obviously it wouldn't look like anadult man but how else are you supposed to depict that on filmDid he even die though? Didn't he just pull himself out and live in the wilderness?

Ah, the answer is. He didn't quite die in the lake. He doesn't die until the end of the 3rd Friday the 13th movie iirc. That's when he becomes a zombie.

The thing you see called Jason is not a human being. After Jason's mother died her murderous rage could not be extinguished. The boy in the lake was the first manifestation of that fury's avatar. In the following movies his final form took shape.
