"Fine Tuning"
Takin’ a new approach to an old dream Cause’ I’m tired of the bumps and pains I’ve gained previously Tryin’ to impress folks who only see to use me. Teeming with new energy, I approach new things with integrity Disregarding desperate tendencies to enter servitude financially. I now choose thoughts based around brains and less of brawn. The world will rue the day I transformed from such a fragile spawn. Sometimes pain will make a mind change. Sometimes you gotta cry before you do something deranged Making life changing decisions waking up from a trance in chains. Exiting out of the door, Setting ablaze everything to the floor The old you is dead and gone, Shedding the dead skin like a serpent using previous experiences as calluses that can’t be torn or bent by any paramour. I singing praises to Yah for maneuvering me through the nonsense life represents. Call it a recalibration of a scattered wit. I may not know where I’m going, But I will find joy again, this I promise.
