Gaiwan prototype

I'm throwing on the wheel a small, tall gaiwan form, single-person teapot. Sort of a mix of the aesthetics of a Chinese gaiwan and a Japanese houhin.

Weekend Pottery Time

Hands covered in clay, mind completely switched off. Spent such a peaceful afternoon making pottery. Can't wait to see how it looks after firing🤎 #DoSmallThingsWithGreatLove

Matcha Bowl

Freshly taken from the kiln, here is a bowl suitable for matcha green tea, fired to cone 6 and glazed with natural elements including wood ash. (edited)

Butter bell

I like painting pottery. This is a butter bell. Sadly it broke and I remade it two times, both times it broke again and I've since accepted it wasn't meant to be, but I still was pretty proud of it.

Firing up the kiln today so thought I'd share my kiln setup! I've just got a small one and I've only had it for a month but it's my baby and everything I wanted😊 Not the most fancy set up as it's tucked into a corner of a garden/tools shed but it works a dream

Made a terracotta mushroom jug that's fresh out of a glaze firing. I'm loving this terracotta, my colours and glazes didn't really pop how I wanted, but still really proud of this one 💜💜

This week: threw some clay, trimmed it up, hunted sea glass, glazed a few beauties, and opened the kiln to find pure magic. Oh and best of all shipped some work to Paris 🤙🏻
