Proud job done
Bought this cast iron and reseasoned it. Super proud of a good job done.

Mannequin makeover
My latest project: painstakingly scrubbing the chunky abstract paint off this fine lad, who I managed to find for $5 on marketplace. (I'm about ten hours in.) He'll get a fresh coat of paint when that's through. (edited)

Good evening
Progress is being made, this engine and bike, there has been a lot of surprises. It's a front blower single cylinder so the cam chain goes around next to the top of the cylinder head. There should be a roller on a pin. We'll that would have just been bouncing round. Seems the peeps who worked on… read more

Latest restoration
After just finishing a workmate for a neibour I inherited a stomp 160 cc pit bike. So let's get to restoring and adding some life into this thing

Frame
Well the frame is resprayed and re welded, all put together other than 1 bolt that's snapped off inside the lower top yolk. Will be fun getting that out -.-. Hope everyone is having a good day

Wolf quartermaster HQ
So I just restored a wolf quartermaster drill. These were produced by an English company called wolf that was baught out in the 1980s and started in the 1900s I believe. It was running when my neibour brought it over however it wasn't smooth. Originally painted a light green the quartermaster was… (edited) read more

Seized resto
So my friend told me his ktm Sx85 had seized. It hadn't what had happened was his ht lead came loose when riding which made it feel like a seize. Piston moves freely and has some compression. He is missing gaskets, hoses and nuts and bolts so I'll have to make him a list but it has compression and… read more

Hit a stalling point
So work on the stomp restoration has taken a small hiatus as I need more spray, plastics primer etc and my sowing machine broke down (of course I need a 2-3mm grub screw now as mine pinged and vanished). So it's time to work on my friends ktm Sx85. Possible engine seize, worked out it was more… (edited) read more

Few more updates
Quick update on what else I've been doing to the stomp. Painted the swing arm as well as oiled up the bearings and polished the spacers. Gave the petrol tank a base colour in toughstuff black enamel, however it needed 3 coats of hicote white as the paint had a small bubble-esque reaction. (couldn't… read more

Quick test
Chucked on the set and the plastics for fit and there's some issues but not too many and easily fixed

Stomp 160cc resto
Polished handlebar supports, came up really well in a few mins on my polishing wheel. Just need some autosol and metal polish now for the final touches (edited)

Front forks
So giving the front forks a bit of a respray and polish up. First off with aluminium foil and water to take off some of the rust and 2 coats of hicote matte white and 3 coats of hicote clear coat. The original red powder coat was faded and chipped etc so had to go. The grey on the red fork near… (edited) read more

2 main issues
OK so one's not strictly an issue. The bike needs a new side casing on the engine. £16 for anew one from the manufacturer (around 22 usd ish) pictured and it needs new engine oil but it needs a decoke first. And the big issue is the holding section for the swing arm. There was around an inch of… read more

Ktm exhaust
Poor ktm has been battered, bruised and was stripped awaiting repair. Exhaust is a fmf unit, here's a before and after of about an hours work so far.

Painful day.
Quick update incase anyone is following along. Bike had a grubby broken engine casing so took it off to see the extent and well everything needs cleaned up but no bolt puller to remove stator housing. Looks clean enough inside but casing and housing itself needs cleaned and polished. Valve covers… read more

Products,
OK so some of these I highly recommend and some I do but it comes with a prequsite, all can be baught from amazon fairly cheap. OK jbweld, great product, simply mix the black and white to 50/50 for great adhesion. Great for smaller repair jobs takes a long time to dry and cure. EQM rust remover,… read more

Quick view
Hopefully it's not too bad quality
Aaaaand done
Stator is done and polished, cleaned up the inside and cleaned the engine casing out best I can with the tools I have to hand. The muck is what came out of the stator and electrics alone not out the engine casing

Whoops
Forgot the rear shock came up well, just washed really. Polished the bolts on my small polisher. Painted up the foot pegs and brake lever too but they just stayed black so no point in showing them (edited)

Quick update
OK so here's a quick update, stripped the front end and cleaned up the forks a little, they need some autosol polishing. Resprayed the petrol tank for a first coat just back to black for now. Checked over the electrics and the swinging arm. Bushings need replaced on the swing arm and the electrics,… (edited) read more

Exhaust resto
Just a quick update, going good but wish I had better tools haha.

Workbench completed
OK so I don't have many photos of the before or the after as was a little busy at the time. The workbench was rusted, partially seized and the boards had seen better days. I saw it behind a neibour shed and he said it had been there for a while. So I grabbed it and did some work on it.

New project for my son 💙

Restoration Of DutchWest 2477 Wood Burning Stove
Behold! My latest restoration project. It's a DutchWest Model 2477, made in 2002. I've had & used this a while now, and I just got her back after a couple of years away, In this picture she is stripped all the way down to her basic outer shell.
