A little while go I ended up engraving one of the tarot cards from phasmophobia for a friend sadly don't have a picture of the finished thing but toyed with the idea of making a full set at some point because science isn't about why! also it would be a fun little set to have š

Laser engraving crafts
I was thinking out of the box engraving the joker one my air vent cap
Short notice request, so I spent a couple of hours on the lathe and made this chunky solid oak bowl, then added engraving to finish it off. Pretty chuffed with how it came out, made from an old railway sleeper - oak isn't the easiest thing to turn but produces a satisfying result. Photos below š

On ceramic tile, 4x coat white and black metallic. Then engraving grayscale
First chef knife of my design. Not fond of how the engraving turned out but it'll be a good way to measure progress as I go. Scales in the morning(jade green with light brown spacers). 304 stainless as usual.

Engraving on aluminium plate.
I've been getting addicted to making these with my cnc machine. I can't wait to paint this one. I call it 'Guardian' and I'm thinking of carving that word in some ancient language. Thoughts on languages?
It got suggested in therapy I look into affirmations, what I need to remind myself of daily, so thought I'd combine it with some laser engraving and make a little something to sit above my mirror so i'd see it first and last thing every day.

3 hours into profiling and feeling like I should anneal lol the center of gravity has already moved down an inch. I've got a good feeling about the balance on this one. Should probably practice engraving some suction cups but nah. (edited)
