What is one to do when they receive a friend request but their profile is blurred?

Title. I just signed up today and I've gotten two requests and I can't even look at their profiles. This feels so counterintuitive and I'm frustrated that I may have to pay to...meet up with people in the app for meeting up with people. Any help is appreciated!

Match complete disappeared. Unmatched or weird error?

Chatting with someone, getting a date set up but checking a message 2 hours later and the chat disappeared, and then the profile 404. Was it an unmatch or did something break? (edited)

When I block someone or unblock a match, does the other person get a message somehow that they have been blocked or how does the other person know? Can they continue to follow me or is it then no longer possible? Wheres is the difference between Block and unmatch? (edited)
