The devil is in the details, of course, but in a perfect scenario with the love of your life, where would you have your wedding or commitment ceremony? For me, certainly somewhere that I can wear a shorter length dress that won't drag, because baby, I WANT TO BE BAREFOOT IN THAT GOWN!!! I have every intention of hosting my own wedding (if & when) in a woodsy area, wildflower garden, or potentially an arboretum... Having water that I can dip my toes into is a MAJOR plus! A warm summer evening, twinkling lights decorating the trees, the aisle decorated with softly glowing lanterns and lined with small potted plants (some type of annual flower, most likely) that my guests can take home as favors and plant in their own gardens! ...And of course, a reception more like an outdoorsy lounge space filled with eclectic and comfortable furniture, a small dance floor for those who choose to to groove to some fun music, signature cocktails AND mocktails for the non-drinkers and designated drivers, a gigantic buffet of hors d'oeuvres, charcuterie, and other assorted small bites for guests to choose from instead of a sit-down dinner, and an open mic time for anyone and everyone to make toasts and share well-wishes! A nearby hotel that we could reserve a block of rooms at is a must, and a party bus to take people there at the end of the event would be super cool too!
