I'm not sure if others follow strict codes but honestly I'm pretty chill that not everyday has to be a talking day. If no chats are sent then the convo just drifts, doesn't mean anyone is a bad person because of it either. It's different for everyone and it's more the vibe of the person. Maybe it's just me.

I used to have a 7 day thing for the first 5/6 months-ish. Used to keep matches under 10 people, so was quite strict about who I matched and only kept the active conversations.. I've since made more friends through the universes and many bonds strengthened over months, so I have re-added friends, that were previously unmatched as well as new ones that I've been interacting with for a while. Thanks to the Hide feature, tbh, otherwise seeing a long list of people would definitely overwhelm me. Still keeping matches limited to a certain number but I'm more relaxed about it and people know what they're getting into, as I keep it transparent, given DMs are overwhelming and I don't really open them as much, generally. Plus sometimes I take breaks from the app, so I could disappear for a week or three 👀🥲

I just hide the conversation. If they pop back up again later than whatever. I mean its texting on a dating app not dating. Maybe they found someone more promising to pursue deeper, got busy whatever. I think its unrealistic to be someone's top priority at this stage of the game. They don't know you so its not even that personal. Now once dating starts we can lay down some expectations.

I will definitely unfriend someone if they haven’t said anything to me for at least a week. At that point, I feel like they’re truly not even a friend and they’re not making any effort to even talk to me and I would rather make room to talk to people that do want to talk to me. I don’t like to have people in my feed that aren’t either true connections or true friends otherwise they’re just there and taking up space. I mean we’re all either here to make friends or to find a relationship or both so if we’re not putting effort into one or both of those things then what’s the sense of having the person on the feed? That’s just my honest opinion. I’ve found that if somebody doesn’t say anything to you for a week, they’re probably not going to say anything to you and if they do, it’s just because they’re lonely not because they’re really a true friend. I’m more interested in people that are true friends or truly interested, so I pay attention to the people that make effort and I also put an effort as well. I don’t just make it one sided. I make sure that I also ask them how they are. I will definitely unfriend somebody if I ask them how they are and they haven’t responded to me in a week. 😃
