Rate the Film: 2015’s Creed
Where would you rate Creed? Feel free to express your thoughts and opinions in the comments. For me: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. While Creed, admittedly, feels very recycled and formulaic much like other boxing films including the other Rocky films before it, I can easily forgive it playing it more safe in hopes to appeal to fans of the original Rocky films as well as bring in a new generation. It’s also because of the performances and chemistry between Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone as well as the great direction by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Black Panther). Both Adonis Creed and Rocky have much in common and both need eachother in the fight for themselves. It’s a continuation of Rocky, but the start of Adonis Creed and it balances their stories very well.
