Original poem by yours truly. ___________________ Here’s to the love that went astray, Brokenhearted and full of dismay, Off he went on a chariot of fire, She told herself no more liars. Delusion blew in faster than light, She waits for her prince in the dead of night, Dreamlike he’ll be driving through the snow, To tell her he’s wrong for letting her go. She’ll mourn for her loss with a silent cry, A bed covered in tissues as she wishes to die, In a couple of months, her heart will be healed, But for right now, more tears she will yield. A hint of drowsy, a splash of sleep, Off she goes into slumber so deep.
