I could write here something what I think love is, but if I felt true love (not being attracted or having a crush) I probably wouldn't be on this app and instead I would cuddle with the person I love and plan my whole future. I don't know what love is, but I think love is when the person isn't around, it feels like someone has ripped your heart out and chaned you to a wall in a basement.

It is both. There are many types of love. Sometimes love is a feeling. But it is also a state of thought we can cultivate through practice; a choice. If you base love simply off feelings, it will come and go. But when it is a choice, the fact that you love this person stays in your mind and soul even during the worst of times. Its one of the keys to successful long relationships. I have been with my husband, in total, for 14 years. You soon realize that feelings come and go all the time :) But he will always be my best friend and my love because that is what I want, and he is who I choose.

Are you LOOKING FOR a friend/partner/spouse,etc..or WANTING TO BE one?
The mentalities are very different regarding focus, motivation, and expectations. The mentality behind LOOKING FOR tends to be more outward-focused, prioritizing finding the ‘right’ person who fits specific criteria. In contrast, WANTING TO BE, is inward-focused, focusing on being the right person... read more
