Patience to a emotional absent partner doesn't change anything

Becoming more patient with an emotionally unavailable partner means nothing. Giving people more time means nothing because time by itself changes nothing. You can sit with them for ten years but they will be acting the same. The only thing that will change is that you will be ten years older and ten years away from the bettee life you could have had. Time must be filled with the right kind of effort in order to become an investment. Can you see this effort on the part of your partner? When there's no effort, spending more time there is not an investment towards your relationship but wastage of your life. Society is always asking you to give people more time. But do you know that time is all you have on earth? Just like you don't dish out your life savings anyhow, you can't donate your years to people carelessly. Also, change begins with acknowledgement. Does your partner acknowledge that they need to change? Next, do you see them applying energy to be different? In order to fix issues and avoid getting wasted yourself, stop being patient with people blindly. Instead, offer an opportunity for change. Call for a sitting or a dialogue. Express yourself and invite them to respond. If they repeatedly reject this opportunity, they're communicating unwillingness to change. In this case, do not try to protect them from the consequences of their actions. Instead, protect yourself by removing your participation in the relationship. It may be painful, but it's your only redeeming grace. It will redeem your time and afford you another chance to build elsewhere while you still have time.
