You let them in, and acknowledge them. And stop trying to keep them out, because they will just get worse and worse. Then you tolerate them, and try to do other things.

Don't fight thoughts the more you fight the more they come. Power of happy thoughts read this book . It's in audible as well as available on Amazon. Replace negative thoughts not with positive thoughts but with happy thoughts

Figuring out their origin helps me. Not every intrusive thought has an origin, so not always good. I sometimes write them down when I believe there's a pattern to see if there really is a pattern. Acceptance is good. To have thoughts that are just thoughts. They don't have to go anywhere.
