How do you feel about AI? Specifically art or writing done by AI? Do you think it's a threat to those pursuing creative careers?

Wonderful question, and one that is being asked in a lot of places. Not just in the arts either. The are issues with AI in creative writing, and to my understanding also with art. When giving the parameters for writing papers or attempting to generate unique material is that the AI takes queues from the input provided and mixes that with the biases of the programmers that helped create it. There have been instances of plagiarism in writing and I would venture to say probably similar issues have occurred with other types of art.

In some ways I would say that programmers may actually be at higher risk than the arts.

All I've gotta say is skilled work isn't cheap. Cheap work isn't skilled, and AI is the cheapest you can get.
Anyone who cares about the quality of an art piece will still always hire an artist. If you're an executive type, who just wants cilia art for their presentation, then AI is for you

I don't see Ai generated images as art. Art can only come from a real being. Ai can be useful for many things. I think we should use it to help but not to replace us.

For most cases, yes. It's definitely a threat to a lot of small to medium scale individual artists or the ones who are still creating that brand identity for themselves. 
The cost of generating the art is almost zero when one is using AI

Except for like very specific cases, AI is already able to handle most parts of being a bit artistic or even faking it.

I don’t think so. I reckon AI can be really good with processing data which is really the logical part of the brain. I personally think art whether it’s written, visual or something else requires some kind of life experience and some kind of message you want to convey. Which computers won’t really have much of. But they can simulate art and creativity by learning from human so really all you see is the culmination of all data processed by the ai to determine what generally is good/beautiful for most people.

Of course it is. In fact it's arguably a threat to any and every office job. Not necessarily today but in 10 years... Think about how far it has come in 10 years and then think about how far it'll be. Heck, Maybe by then robotics will have come far enough that it will be able to replace a number of physical jobs too.

It is a threat especially when an artist is accused of using AI.
 yet the quality isn't there.  most firms will use AI because its cheaper than hiring a freelancer.  
especially in music AI is still terrible.  some writing is alright as long as its short.  it degrades quickly.  photos and videos aren't yet editable,  no layers or timelines and styles can look weird.
