Does playing the Flex game actually pay off

Question

Serious question, but ive seen so many people post pictures in their profiles of them with things like expensive cars, money, at the gym, and with celebrities, and those things are a major turn off for me because I find materialistic things and superficialness as some of the most unattractive things in the world, but like does flexing like that actually ever benefit?

I have a flexed pic in the mirror cuz women like arms and *some* wanna know if you speak gym. Posing with expensive things and people...I feel like I'm too regular for folks taking pics with fancy people lol.

It’s mostly all for show. I’m sure some of the people are rich enough to afford that type of lifestyle and materialistic things. In all reality those people are just trying to sell a lifestyle. Broke people spend cash on expensive things to look rich while rich people act broke because that is how you keep your money.

Yes, many people are shallow. Its the same reason I dont mention that I am missing an organ, live in a sub-standard apartment or that I am being paid below the market average where I work. All things kind of sound like I am a looser or something. My expensive new car, meeting a few local celebrities and credit score makes me sound like I am doing well and socially connected. In reality I am doing ok. Not great, not bad, just about average.

Not my thing...gonna go with swiping no.  Never had a desire for flashy cars and that sort of thing.  Even without the pics there are way to many of the shallow and superficial around. I find a good way to start is looking at the pics and profiles. Sometimes, it's a bit hard to figure out right away.  I swip left a lot.

Not one to flaunt it, I wouldn’t want people friending me just for that reason.  Id want people to like me for me, and as for the money, thats just stupid, they’re just looking to get robbed. Also they have apps where ypu can rent nice cars, like Teslas, Maseratis , Rolls Royces….etc its like the news “don’t believe everything you see or hear.” Haha

I think its fine to show if you are wealthy, or healthy, etc. With such profiles they may attract people who prefer such things and that is not wrong at all.

Sometimes it's not just a flex. I love working on my car and going to car shows etc. So some may be just trying to show what they're into. That said yeah it's likely usually just a flex and it probably does work sometimes. Some women (I'm sure men do too) just care about status.
