A (small) bit of wine daily or some ocasional beer can have some health benefits while smoking is generally seen worse because of the,well..smoke.In my oppinion while all addictions are bad alcohol can be eliminated from the body while the smoke usually stays in your lungs.That, and the fact you can suffer from second hand smoking
