Sub or dub?

Question

Imo you can’t truly experience anime in dub, it just doesn’t hit the same. But I’ve seen some people that can’t watch it subbed. Baffles me. So how do y’all watch yours?

100% in Dub. It allows me to multi task to watch something while replying to messages on boo or playing my mobile apps for those daily sign ins vs having to stare at the subtitle bar.

But as a gamer I love hearing the recognizable voices from other stuff ex. You hear the voice of zabuza from Naruto in an anime is like super recognizable or from a game is a total vibe

It really depends on the company. There are many dubs that are spot on. "Excel saga" dub was so keen on matching the original voice content that they purposefully copied mistakes made by the original voice actor to include missed Ques and dialect changes.

I don't see that level in mainstream anime but other companies do dubs quite well when you take the time to compare.

Both. Not all anime is available in both. So If it's dubbed I watch it like that. If it's only subbed and isn't too complicated for my slow brain to keep up with, I don't mind subbed either lol

I can not watch dubs unless the voices suite the characters because the Original voices convay the characters correct personality and energy as chosen by the director

90+ percent of the time in sub.  I’m kinda just used to it. If a dub is good enough or provides a different experience (kaguya comes to mind) I’ll watch the dub. Or if I’m with a homie that cant stand sub I can bite thebullet. I prefer sub tho.

English dub depends but most of the time in Japanese with English sub for me. I can't watch One Piece and other anime in dub. Some dub are good with the voice acting. It really depends.

Depends for me, some anime are worth watching dub for their amazing voice acting and same goes for sub. Imo as long as you can enjoy the anime then by all means.

Depends on the anime and which set of voice actors are the least annoying. I can't even get past the first episode of one piece because Luffy's voice is so high pitched.
