What's your take on AI generated art in the art community? I've been seeing many many opposed to it because of it taking away from legitimate artists. Do you feel that more AI related creations will continue to cause issues, or do you feel that traditional art will make a comeback?

AI art should just be seen as a cool experiment to see what it does, it looks cool but at the end of the day its a machine interpreting words you type to try and make an image. At the end of the day it isn't expression, or culture, or conveys an idea like real art.

I think it depends on what you're looking for when you're talking about art that's being created. If you're looking forward on the super cheap AI created art might be the way to go. If you're looking for something specific and unique you may still want an artist. If you're creating because you yourself are an artist and chances are no amount of AI art is going to scratch your itch. I have heard of people using AI created art though to get an idea for art they create themselves. I suspect starving artists are still starving maybe they'll be a few more starving artists but that's always been a term for a reason. I'd say wait for Utopia when you can live fine and do your art. However the world is already dystopian and I can't imagine that we're going to get to a Utopia any time soon. We are already replacing non-artisan jobs with computers and now artisan jobs as well. However we aren't creating anything that allows the people displaced to still make good money.
