A tribute to my father - mixed media drawing

Question

Arguably this is my greatest artistic achievement. Following the death of my father, I was left with thousands upon thousands of his uncatagorised stamps, which he had been collecting for decades. In a moment of pure inspiration, I saw an image in my mind that was vivid and clear, and I knew what I needed to do. The final piece is a stamp collage with the portrait being drawn over old envelopes in graphite. Love to hear your thoughts.

I like the depth of the stamps on the lower left side and how you utilized the envelopes. Any reason you chose to leave the back of the head less busy? Or is it more to do with the overall composition?
