I think looks matter alot, we are on a dating app and how many people go though all the description provided the primary door from which u decide is the looks, counter my argument

I think looks matter to most people a lot, especially if they are trying to breed. personality can overcome looks very easily.

Yeah there is a filter process for sure. For me it is age range, gender, race. That eliminates most of the pool. Then I look at photos and quickly eliminate like 95%. Then, I will look at the bio for further filtering and probably see that they are gay and don't like men. (edited)

Universally good looking people get more attention yes, but ultimately and for most people it will depend on personality. You can be attracted to many but it's the one you connect with that you're likely to develop feelings for.
