It hasn’t gotten any worse, I turn 30 soon and have always found human interactions to be confusing and friendships to be temporary, relationships and connections to be finite and love fickle and false.

I'd say it's easier actually 🤔 but it may be just me, I've always had an easier time making friends with older people as opposed to my peers, so now it feels easier to make friends with people my age as they are more mature 🤔 I still prefer older people as friends tho haha

I've always made friends just as easy, any age. It's staying in touch with them that becomes harder, because marriage, kids, time... work.. stubbornness.

But at least the connections you usually establish when you're mature (I'm not putting a number, like the post, because a lot aren't "mature" at 30).. tend to last a little longer.

Yes it becomes difficult because as humans experience life we build opinions, judgements, walls, insecuriies, complexities etc.

Look at a child making friends and playing is so easy! Why is that?

I always found it hard, it just seems really easy to find people who are interested in other things over people themselves and in the past I did waste a lot of time on time wasters

I can get along with most people but my social battery doesn't last long these days. Finding or making time to hang out doesn't feel like the priority like when I was younger.

I would say it’s not easier nor harder to make friends… but just more of an effort to find someone worth investing that kind of time into. I don’t care for simple interactions and baseless friendships, I have enough people in my life and I value quality over quantity at this point. Most of my friends have been staples in my life for over 20 years, so the challenges become more aligned with how they would fit into the circle of mine (and mine in their circle) and what can we offer each other to better one another.
