Experimenting with style

Trying a new style. I liked the more detailed one a lot, but it makes adding character customization difficult. The ears on this model can be adjusted with shape keys to be a large variety of ear shapes. Eyes are placeholder. Will continue to post updates 😊

What are the some of the most important things a game needs?

I'd say some key points are -sound design -level/map design -story flow (if the game has one)[arcade games and platformers dont always need one to be good] -Character design (doesn't have to be super detailed but a style is necessary -charm (and polish if you have the man power or time)

Favourite source game?

I have such an affinity for games running on Source (modified or not). They feel so grounded and strongly made for some reason. I’m personally really into Titanfall 2. Can’t wait for S&box to come out too!! Working with the Hammer editor for that game sounds so fun!

pls don't use kernel level anti-cheat

it's easier to exploit kernel level and bypass it versus having anti-cheat through your servers and is easier to see if people are trying to exploit the game.

Anyone slow the game speed when the player is hurt?

Besides slowing the game speed when the player takes dmg I also do a slight slow down if the player moves really fast. Then speeds back up to normal speed if the player is moving slower.

Downsides to radio systems in games?

Just think about it; waves sent out talking to other objects but through a collision. The sender and receiver. Powerful = further distance while weaker = shorter distance.
