Dear Mom, I hope this letter finds you in God’s loving embrace, or at least by His side. I hope it doesn't interrupt your time with the other angels. Please, don't read this with tears; instead, look down from heaven and smile, proud of me for facing my struggles and finding healing. Honestly, I'm not sure how to process your passing. I have mixed emotions. I feel like you left this world gracefully because you lived so well. But at the same time, I can't shake the feeling that your passing was so unfair; you left in front of me, and the pain still haunts me and affects my appetite. They say time heals, but it still hurts so much. On the other hand, being with you in your last moments was a gift; it expanded my empathy for those going through tough times. And losing you gave me the chance to understand my faith and what God means to me. Mom, you lived every moment to the fullest, and for that, I'm grateful. Thank you for every smile, every word of encouragement, and for showing me what real courage looks like. Thank you for believing in me and introducing me to God. Your life was so meaningful, and that’s why you left this world with grace. Now, go back and keep watching over me from heaven, guiding my steps. April 16, 2024, took you away from me. 😔
