Lubber Pandhu (2024/ Tamil/ Disney Hotstar)
With a rooted and intriguing screenplay, this is a winner all the way. This dark comedy focuses on the clash of two men from different castes over their passion for cricket. There is masculinity but there is no toxicity. There is casteism but not loud jingoism over that. Rather, the men are shown perfectly balanced. Ironically, the women characters have brilliantly been given perfect meat and they are the ones who actually push the narration. Songs are completely fitting the narration. The screenplay, performances (with Dinesh being in a top form and his sizzling chemistry with Harish Kalyan) and direction (Tamizharasan Pachamuthu) make it up for this film being a perfect OTT treat for this Diwali Season. #tamil #india

Actually a YouTube doctor 👨⚕️ confirmed that any 3-4 booby traps in the movie would have probably killed both burglars. Slapstick comedy isn’t realistic. You know Kevin’s brother’s tarantula spider 🕷️ in Home Alone? If the burglars wore steel toe boots 🥾 with Tarantula Anti-Slip rubber outsole they wouldn’t have slipped on the frozen stairs
My safety boots have a Tarantula rubber outsole that can have high traction even down to -30 C. I’ve never slipped wearing those boots in the winter 🥶 they’re commercial grade, good for welders, electricians, cement workers etc. they’re even electric shock resistant
