How To Know A Person

This book has taught me about having a compassionate understanding of people. To see them through their own unique lens of seeing the world shaped by their lived experiences. To make people feel valued, heard and understood. Be curious about other people's attitudes, feelings, thought process, joys, ordeals, desires, aspirations and outlook on life. To move away from misconceptions or generalisations of people you meet and see them for who they really are. I'm now constantly intrigued by the thought of truly understanding people for who they are to their inner depths, what it is like to live their unique lives and to see them and their own reality more accurately than before. To hear their stories and feel them and see each other at a more granular level so that we can share a stronger bond. It can be challenging to get to know a person truly and deeply, but with the right tact, empathetic concern, kindness and good direction of conversations it can be done. I'd like to help people see their self-worth and look on the brighter side of life and make people feel loved in a way. I'm still learning how to put this knowledge into practice and working towards it. (edited)

If you are aware of the uniqueness of lived experience combined with natural psychological tendencies reflecting in people's everyday actions, all their beliefs and thoughts, then there just one more level of depth left to discover. And that comes from knowing yourself as deeply as you can. I hope you continue this dive into the psyche. It's quite interesting and even more important.
