Is it love or is it just admiration & familiarity?
I wonder if couples really love each other or they just mistake love for admiration & familiarity. Let say a girl is attracted to a guy because he's tall, handsome and funny, and then they're dating. But what happens if the girl is attracted to other guy while she's in relationship with the first guy. The other guy also has the same values as the first guy which are tall, handsome and funny, which is exactly what the girl is looking for in a man. Maybe that's why some people mock others for being shallow while choosing partner. For me, it doesn't matter if you're attracted to someone because of looks, wealth or anything. If your partner doesn't have a particular thing that makes you completely attracted to him/her, that makes your partner different from others, even if that specific thing is ineffable, then you don't really love your partner. And if you don't fight for that relationship, for example avoiding things that can lead you to breakup like infidelity, lackness of happy moments of being together or your partner having problems, then it's not really love.

Love is nothing more than an action. It's the action of sacrificing yourself entirely to someone whom you trust is doing the same. You have to start a relationship based on superficial reasons to determine whether the person is serious or not. That's why relationships happen in stages that often take years. To determine if both can make the next step and engage in deeper love. So from my perspective your question is kinda obvious. Yes! All the time. People constantly think love is a feeling and they are simply ignorant and also not in love.
