Long distance relationships are difficult

My friend recently got a new girlfriend this year and I am very happy for him and he is really growing into becoming a good lady's man. I am less happy about him joking about hooking me up with her cousin on the other side of the world. I told him no thank you.

In my head, my subconscious is torturing myself with memories of my last long distance relationship. If I were a robot, maybe I wouldn't keep doing that to myself.

I am still going to try and find someone local. A high five or hug a week is the minimum I need to stay human.

I've starting skipping everyone more than one state over.  Long distance is especially difficult. Sometimes it works but there's gotta be a plan.
