Bad dates

If you spent a good amount of time getting to know someone and the date goes bad, do you tell them honestly why you won't seem them again?

It’s best to be honest… unless you think your safety may be at risk.

Yep, best to be direct but in a nice way, not everything is meant to be..and knowing what we/they did wrong or what didn't work for them/us, would help with potential future dates..

I have had to be honest before. Its tough if you want to be tactful and nice but you have to be honest with yourself primarily. You’re either compatible or you’re not. And thats ok. Not everyone is compatible. In my situation I just said that the way she behaved wasn’t what I was interested in and I wasn’t comfortable with it and didn’t want to go forward. So I wished her luck and that was that. I did not engage in the inevitable arguement that she spitefully wanted to initiate. I just said no thanks, good luck. I wasn’t going to ask her or anyone to change who they are on account of my desires and that is about as cordial and respectful as I could be about it. Being honest does not require being rude. But like one commenter said, if its your safety at risk, honesty is secondary, your safety is first.
