Do you think someone could truly fall in love with a robot
With the ever increasing advancements in technology it's only a matter of time before robots are made specifically to fill the function of relationships my question is do you think they'll be able to fill the void adequately I'm curious as to hear all perspectives on this matter

Hm. I'd think it would depend on how advanced the AI is but potentially yes, I think so. Maybe not everyone, but a fair amount of people, if not most. People are able to fall in love over long distances through text communication via the internet. Arguably in that circumstanc someone isn't falling in love with a person, they're connecting to and falling in love with a construct based on words on a screen, particles of light emanating from an electronic device. The only difference is the origin, which IS important but I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind if the AI is advanced enough to have distinct personality and emotions. Also an interesting thought - the development of AI would bring an entirely new form of sexually and romantic preferences - people attracted to AI (which I can see being ridiculed heavily)

Wow.
I very recently realized that I have difficulty receiving love. Creating a safe space for others comes naturally. Nurturing, listening, and comforting others is easy for me… but allowing myself to receive the same is extremely difficult. Does anyone else have issues with this?
