So I know that people out there use white noise and other noises to help fall asleep. However, am I the only one that seems to fall asleep better when it is actually storming or having thunderstorms with rain sounds play on my speakers at night? I know I could Google the science behind this, but what other sounds do you use besides noise machines to fall asleep?

To me white noise is noise. Even the ones of actual recordings are just noise to me. Some things are just better in person. Like live rain.
