5When someone asks for a "quick gift"... 😅
Short notice request, so I spent a couple of hours on the lathe and made this chunky solid oak bowl, then added engraving to finish it off. Pretty chuffed with how it came out, made from an old railway sleeper - oak isn't the easiest thing to turn but produces a satisfying result. Photos below 🙂

Was not a total barn find, but was in need of fixing. Wood was a tear down, repair, glue and sand. A tade bit more than I could chew and had a local upholstery shop assist. It turned out amazing. (edited)

7First prototype
My first prototype of a hexagonal dice vault! I used plywood for it on a carvey machine. Tho it seems like next time I'll have to set the feed to be lower cus this time it bit into the piece and messed up the alignment. So next prototype will be with poplar and if successful, I can finally move on... (edited) read more
