Picnic on the Green
A Modern Reflection of Manet In the open field, light dances through leaves. A blanket lies, adorned with simple fare: grapes, wine and cheese. The grass under us keeps the stories, words of a brief retreat, from the city's endless noise. Here, life is sketched bold and free, words drift with the wind, carefree as the river’s flow, reflecting what might be. We exist, outside of time, echoing a painted scene, with easy laughs, casual poses, an apple’s sweet burst, the moment we caught our secret feast. (edited)
