Thoughts about Writing The Most "Cliche" Plots by Yue

I always have mixed feelings about some writings where the girl needs to “fix” the boy and be some kind of therapist for them, or the boy has a “tragic” past that needs someone else to save them from it. Isn’t it already too cliche? not everyone wants to be saved or needs “fixing”, I’d rather have a story where they don’t need a tragic past or saving each other but solve their problems on their own with/without each other’s company. I always believe that our problems are ours to solve, not some stranger come into our lives and solve them. I always have mixed feelings too if we have someone else “saving” or “fixing” us, I would rather we save ourselves first if we want to be better. and we don’t need other people to fix what’s never really needs fixing. I think some used that simple writing just because it’s simple to understand and write, some kind of “lazy writing” for me to think about. even though, some probably already too relate to such writings. - Yue
