Animation Fantasy Adventure Another good Miyazaki film with a an allegory to ocean pollution and its effects. Makes you almost wish for such kind of world. RIP My Precious Bebe Q

It is with a gutted heart & a piece of my soul gone that I must share 💔 Bebe Q peacefully passed away at 9:32 PM last night. I'll go first. Twilight 2008 throwback Been going through some things recently. Trying to distract my mind and experiencing a twilight revival era. It's a good distraction lol. So whose team are you on?

Those dang memories..

One of the besties/sisters 🥹 This picture was taken in 2008.. we had reconnected after about 6 years (I moved to London in 2002) and this was the first time we had seen each other again. Song I wrote

I wrote this song back in 2008 as a young, dumb college student. A wide-eyed, hopeless romantic that met a girl who was on her international exchange program & I didn't want her to go home. Drunkily stumbling out of the House of Blues and exchanging phone numbers under the sign in this image. I… read more

What's something you miss?

More specifically, from pre-covid, from pre-recession (2008) or if you're ancient like me, pre 9/11, what's something anything you miss from those times that you feel like made your life better or at least more interesting? (edited)

What are yalls thoughts on "the ruins (2008)"?

I watched it last night and I thought it was okay. I loved the concept and the monster but I feel like it didn't do enough with both the concept or the setting. If it wasn't for those few twists I would probably not remember the movie, but those moments do WORK

Shutter (2008)

A remake from the original Thai horror. Not the best, but I'd give this 6 out of 10.

Diary Of The Dead

Diary Of The Dead was released on this day in 2008. I always felt people were way too harsh about this one. Did Romero really have to go the found footage route? Well no but I really enjoyed what he did with this one. It also has a fun memory attached because it wasn’t showing in any theaters… read more
