Asking for insight on this app?

Question

I don't really know where to post this... I figured learning was good as it's me asking a question and learning or seeing any answers.

I have been on this app for about two months now (I think) and haven't had much luck with finding any relationships.

Has anybody actually found their significant other on this app? If so, how long did it take before finding them?

And to those still searching, if you are alright with answering, how long have you been on the app?

I hope the questions aren't too problematic, and I thank all whom at least taken time to consider the post. Thank you and hope you all have a good night! (or day... I wrote this at night)

Been here a few days and I find the dating part of the app to be just as soulless as others. However the Universes part of the app is very cool

What I recommend is just interact with everything you connect with in your feed. I've seen that people will actually like and reply to your messages on the posts

Go back and forth a few times if you hit it off try DMing them

I’ve used this app for a month on my first time, now it’s been a few days.

A lot of people seem to be rather superficial, considering how you can find profiles with thousands of followers, but for some reason no love? (unless I’m somehow misunderstanding that concept)

Of course, I (much like anyone else) have my preferences, so even then I’m extremely selective, which may end up giving me potentially less opportunities.

So I don’t think that it’s impossible to find someone, it’s just very difficult to do so when you weigh in that some might be unused accounts, others seek attention, and likely a very small amount are actually interested in dating.

It was especially possible in the first few months after the app's initial release. Then attention seekers took over when they noticed how much people this place gathered. This is an example of the bitter fate observed among growing communities.

Here're my findings so far;

Out of 10millon downloads, I can count almost 10 real pairs only.

Estimated after 1-2 years of usage, they will find their other half.

I am not sure how long I had the app the first time. And also I apparently used different log in credentials so there is another profile of me out there somewhere. <.<;;

But the second time I downloaded it I want to say it was maybe a few months?? I matched with someone. We talked. They disappeared about month then returned. We met. Got into a relationship for 8 months. Medical things got in the way but we still love each other very much and still speak of possibilities in the future. But what draws me to this app is actually being able to post things and interacting with random strangers. I'm a severely depressed homebody so being able to talk to other people on here has been nice.

Great question about the "success rate" of the app. I have wondered about that. Curiously looking through the responses.
What have you tried in the time you have been on the app? How have you been using it? Did you or do you have some sort of tentative timeline in mind?

No and i do not really expect to find long term friends/dates here.
Mostly spend some time here commenting random rubbish on posts.
I find it satisfying though that i still have that talent of texting random stuff.
