... Okay, I can explain. > Conquer ADHD... in front of internet strangers. Let me explain. Okay, if I must. I was playing DnD! Before which I was working. Where I was hyperfocusing on a complex problem. Two problems, really. Or 10. Who's counting? It was a fun DnD session! Feels warmer in here, but that could just be joy from seeing my friends, even if it was virtually. I look at the clock when all is said and done, and realize that it's 1 AM. 🤡 =============== In general, I'm noticing that I have the tendency to approach problems by depth - dealing with each problem and question as they come. Therefore, its inevitable that two problems to be solved end up overlapping. Not a problem if it happens once or twice. Anything beyond that is asking for trouble. Part of it is, it's hard to desceibe a specific deliverable when the idea for what to do or how to do it isn't well understood yet, or changes often. It's easy to say that something has been "completed", because that doesn't necessarily mean "satisfactorily". So I'm going to make it easy, and try a simple solution. =============== INSTRUCTIONS > 1. Put an alarm on your phone for the morning and Boo updates. > 1.1.0. Put an alarm on your phone for the same time each morning. > 1.1.1. Cap out an alarm for 30 minutes of work at a time with a specific deliverable for that timespan. > 2.1.0. Start each day with a question, a hypothesis, a test, and a plan to implement the test. > 2.1.1 Share the process and results. Do it for free, because you're not a greedy monster. > 3.1.0 Post a meme. ================ And with that, it's time for bed. (edited)
