How many people use them? Do you just buy one, make one, or buy and customize? I own multiple and have customized several to be irl props of important in game items such as the Codicil of White from RotFM. (edited)

We're gonna start a new campaign with some friends from university, and i thought to play support for a change. We are going to start from lvl1. Do you have any fun suggestions for the character? GMing

How often do other GMs let things just pass? Rather, what I mean is, a player wants to do n action you weren't prepared for, and their character would be able to do it, at what point do you determine that the roll is just to see if there's a critical failure?

I've been toying with this character concept of a true neutral cleric/warlock whose actions are determined by an ongoing feud between his deity and his patron. I think each round the character effectively has to roll initiative twice to see which prevails that round. What do you all think?
