I don't have kids, but I was a stepmom once. However, my former stepson never brought up anything unusual in the 7 years I knew him. To those who have kids, have they mentioned anything strange like someone being under their bed or in their closet or something? How did you respond? Did you believe them? I personally would believe them until I could prove a logical explanation. I'd put on a brave face, of course, but I can't say I wouldn't be spooked. Cuz I saw a lot of things as a kid that kept me awake at night for sure.

Two of my kids see shadow people. I tell them something along the lines of, "It's likely your brain is under stress and it's designed to see people, so it shows you a distorted image of a person. Whether or not it's real though, they don't usually hurt people. Most of them are very nice even though they look a bit scary." Besides shadow people, most of us have experienced things that more than one of us could see/hear: things moving, radio and TV changing stations, latched doors opening etc.
