I realize I love a world and time that no longer exists, whose ruins, trinkets, rubble, ancient roads, castles and the like will never see their like again after they are gone because the people now alive are nothing like the people who once were. We are so moved and inspired and haunted by the past, yet so iconoclastic and cruel to it. I wish we did not kill so much, twice. Once, from the world moving on, and twice from that same world not learning from that one it came from.
