Food for thought π₯: Could be both/neither. Imagine the body it's own autonomous, sentient entity. And Soul is also an autonomous sentient entity. They coexist like cells. But tragically, despite the bond, this body is bound to this earth and it's rules, while the soul moves on to experience being something else or someone else. Without a brain the soul can only hold so much information about previous lives. Especially if the soul didn't care for the body to begin with. But sometimes there's enough of a synchrony between the two that the body; it's life and experiences, may be somewhat remembered. But overall the soul is like a basic will, a moral compass, a tether to the spiritual, an extension of a greater consciousness experiencing what it's like to be in this body. Memories. A soul. They need the body in order to operate on this world. π€
