Child free here, to give my unsolicited opinion. 🙋🏻♀️ I used to think right away is preferred, but now I'm not so sure. I'd like to think I am someone who would listen to the circumstances around why someone is a single parent and see if I can handle that. I personally would want to foster/adopt than have bio kids too though, which is definitely not how most people view things.

Right away, from the beginning! Not like “on your face” but it comes up in convo sooner or later. Either he will ask or you list it when the “tell me about your life” part of the communication starts. I don’t think it matters WHEN you tell them as that you do. I think the most important part is that you don’t lot about having kids bc “he asked the first day of us chatting and I didn’t want to scare him away”. So what if he gets scared away by (a) kid(s)? If so all the better, saved up wasting your time with someone NOT fit for you. Check him off and move on.
