Don't settle
Don't ever lower your standards because you're lonely, you deserve the best option for your partner no matter what. I know how it feels to be alone and just want somebody to hold at night, but dumbing down your actual needs is only going to harm you more in the long run.

This seems more geared for women. I have high standards but I know I won't meet anyone who meets all my standards, so I have to lower them in order to not be lonely the rest of my life. Personally, I would rather settle with someone overweight than let my idea of standards prevent me from making a connection.
