Basically, I want to walk away from an unrequited love; a part of me wants to pursue and fight for it, but another part understands that it'll never happen. Can anyone offer advice? What are the proper steps? I know most would say just block and move on, but it's not that simple, I need to know if I do this, I can't look back, because my heart can't take anymore disappointment. I've been in your shoes (somewhat) not too long ago. It was tricky, not gonna lie, but the biggest thing that forced me to move on and forget is the fact that I lost (and kept losing) sleep over thoughts of her when I knew that she was okay. It's stuff like that that make you realize "Man, this is not healthy. I need to stop this." Did I want to move on? At the time, I couldn't really say. All I know is that the hurt I felt sucked (big time), and it sucked being hurt all the time so I had to draw the line somewhere. The question for you is: Are you willing to move on? Because if the desire is not there (or if it's a half-hearted desire, all wishy-washy and what not) you'll most likely just fall back to your old ways.

Loneliness is killing me slowly
