Our skin replaces itself every month 😳

So, as a doctor it’s my duty to share random and wtf facts to everyone 😂 Our skin has 7 layers (5 epidermis and 2 dermis). Cells from last layer of epidermis start making new cells which over 4week time migrate to upper layers and come to outermost layer, where it sheds by external factors. This process keeps repeating, so your skin that was one month before born will leave soon to give place to new cells. In a sense it can be said that our skin replaces itself every month 😂

What’s your favorite bone?

If I had to choose my favorite bone out of the 206, I would probably have to settle with either the Sella Turcica or the Fovea Capitis!! I really enjoy the Sella Turcica because of all of the cranial nerves located near it and how crucial it is for some vascular and neurological structures. Now the Fovea Capitis is very special because it just foes to prove how big the femur is! The Fovea Capitis is located in the head of the Femur and serves the purpose of getting more blood to it because it would die without it. The blood keeps the head of the femur alive because the blood doesn’t reach the head going upward from its sheer size and needs!

DNA band after Agarose gel electrophoresis

We have isolated DNA from E.coli and then we put that DNA into the wells. When we run electrophoresis,DNA will move towards Anode(Positive pole) as it is negatively charged.. Image was clicked after keeping the gel under UV-transilluminator. (edited)
