BEYOND THE HIDDEN BLADE

What if we stopped looking at Assassin’s Creed as a story — and started examining it as a study of systems? (For those who new, open the comments for sequence) The Assassins and the Templars are more than two opposing factions. They represent different approaches to power, order, freedom, and… read more

K9x : Apocalypse Now

My book is available on Amazon and I’m currently working on an anime adaptation

Rereading Banana Scandal

It is still sooo good! ^^ Made me want some kind of adaptation...

Resident Evil movie review

Just watched Zach Cregger's Resident Evil, and here's my honest take: this was never going to be a one-to-one game adaptation, and Cregger said that from day one. Go in with an open mind, and you'll have a good time; it's a solid survival horror film with real RE tone. It strikes a good balance… (edited) read more

Parsifal (1982)

Watched this rather surrealist movie interpretation of Wagner’s last opera, “Parsifal” by Hans-Jürgen Syberberg, yesterday. It was daring and thought-provoking for sure, but the opera remains a compelling masterpiece regardless, the most thematically complex of all of Wagner’s works, in my… read more

Carrie

Let's forget about the critics for a second and the fact this was supposed to be an adaptation As a show i think this works and it's really enjoyable to watch

Summertime Rendering

Mystery, thriller, time travel... This was an amazing read. And apparently the anime adaptation is also great. I highly recommend this short series 👌

Carrie

Has anyone seen the new Carrie series released today? It's not a bad adaptation of the novel. I enjoy the expansion of the character's backstories.

Why modern dating patterns punish emotionally available people?

One of the most destabilizing patterns I've noticed among clients (as a psychological counselor) in modern dating is that detachment is often rewarded, while emotional availability, regardless of gender, is quietly punished. Many emotionally available men and women enter dating with clarity,… (edited) read more

I brought an Galaxy S20+

I got an older version of Samsung Galaxy. The last flag ship phone that had external storage, because now corporate wants everyone to buy online storage and charge you a brand new liver for it. I'm not falling for it. There's an easy fix for this and that's an 1TB SD card for extra storage. I… read more

One of the greatest movies ever made.

The Lord of the Rings per my point of view is one of the best movies ever made. It might defer from the books, however, as per a movie adaptation the practical effects and settings made this movie unrepeatable.

Movie adaptation

Is anyone out there excited for this book to a become a movie cuz I’m pretty excited 😊🤩🫠

Just seen Resident Evil (2026)...thoughts?

I just seen the movie last night, I personally enjoyed it. The Main character is both frustrating but believable as the movie centers around a random guy thrown into an intense situation trying to survive with little to know understanding of what's going on or what to do. There were people who… read more

NOOOOO !! why?!

Not all anime needs a live action adaptation ugh 😩

What is the opposite of xenophobia?

Often I find much solace in the company of complete strangers. In a crowd at a cafe, an airport, a library or a park. There are brief connections and companionship, yet I am close to invisible, and I like it. In contrast to the company of people I know, where there is allways expectations, history… (edited) read more

Do you have any classic book you like and would recommend it? In any genre! I really liked clockwork orange to the point i was doing a presentation about its own unique language and its brutality. Book Prompt Suggestions

I've decided to put together a book prompt jar for reading like I used to, but I could use some suggestions for prompts. I used to do this to help with my decision paralysis ("too many books too little time, oh god where do I start" syndrome) but stopped a few years ago when I was navigating a… (edited) read more

Kore-Eda's New Film Confirmed!

As Fujimoto's and Kore-Eda's fan this is a dream come true. Live Action of Look Back confirmed to hit theaters in 2026! Short horror thriller storytime PT 1

The outpost was supposed to be empty. Mizuno Keade felt it before he saw it—the air was wrong, thick with something old and unfinished. Film #58 To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)

Drama Legal Crime "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it." Not the best adaptation but still an absolutely lovely film just like the novel... My Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Are self-awareness and perfect mental health mutually exclusive?

Book adaptation debate 📚🎬

What’s your style? 🅰️ Read the book first 🅱️ Watch the adaptation first

Anyone else watched this scifi series?

I think this is the best adaptation of Huxley's classic book. It definitely has it's moments especially in the last few episodes. Definitely room for improvement.

I came across the base of Arrival

Well... It was unexpected. I just came across the story that the movie Arrival is based on. It was an interesting experience to start to understand what I am reading. I would say, they made a very good adaptation in the movie. I didn't know it was inspired by a story even.

Lesser Known Comic Characters

Last year I finally started getting into comics and I honestly really started loving MoonKnight as a character. It’s a shame he’s so underrated but my lord look at this art!
