It's frustrating for sure, and hurtful, sorry you're going thru that. Something I've had to do for my mental health is learn detachment from things and people. I can not control them, but i can observe and listen, and if actions aren't aligning with words or promises, then i can control the fact that i don't choose that for my life, and i end it and move forward. I still take chances, but also trust my gut/intuition, and keep my eyes open rather than the rose colored glasses i much prefer to have on. I don't believe words until actions prove them, until then they're just pretty promises or wishes
